
1812: Inside Account Rep (Govt)
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Government Inside Account Representative is responsible for identifying, developing and growing the prospective and existing local market or specific customer segment by following FedEx Office's sales process.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Expand customer base within an assigned geographic territory
- Prospect for new accounts and provide relevant information for the account base
- Create and present value-added business solutions to specific named accounts, within prescribed guidelines
- Build rapport with customers using a consultative sales approach
- Sell targeted products using marketing toolkit materials, authorized websites and value propositions
- Maintain regular contact with designated accounts, per established sales process requirements
- Make sound business decisions with customers through negotiated and established business agreements
- Manage customer interactions and information to ensure continuous and effective business relationships
- Schedule and conduct required sales calls per day to meet activity goals
- Drive target products and promotions, as directed
- Grow relationships and penetrate sales in assigned accounts, as well as qualify leads
- Serve as the primary relationship owner for accounts in territory to ensure proper service and retention
- Provide secondary account coverage for other sales professionals, as required
- Refer orders and/or bids/quotes to appropriate Operations resources
- Refer project management, including outsourcing coordination, to appropriate Operations resources
- Meet or exceed overall performance objectives for existing accounts and territory
- Assist in account recovery
- Sell FedEx Office's value, by identifying solutions and providing outstanding service
- Provide pricing information and pricing levels to named account base, per established pricing guidelines
- Maintain accurate customer relationship management systems, including daily activities and account updates
- Interact with Sales leadership to develop and review sales strategies for calling on sales accounts and prospects
- Build and maintain a pipeline of business at established standards
- Work with other sales resources in a team selling capacity
- Meet all minimum activity standards consistently
- All other duties as needed or required
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent education
- 1+ year of inside sales, direct selling experience OR an equivalent combination of selling and customer service experience required
- Prefer experience within the document solutions or print offerings industry
- Experience with Federal Government Agency sales helpful
- Demonstrated understanding of sales financial targets and quotas
- Experience responding to questions and objections and to use scripting, as required
- Proven organization, planning, administrative and business math skills
- Proven skills and aptitude to work in a customer-focused and results-driven environment
- Basic level MS Office computer skills

- Ability, on a consistent basis, to function in a fast-paced environment, under substantial pressure
- Ability, on a consistent basis, to work within the appropriate level of independence
- Ability, on a consistent basis, to report regularly to work and maintain established business hours in order to support the FedEx Office business; regular attendance and/or reporting could include regular attendance at a physical location and/or maintaining established business hours depending on the scope and nature of the position
